The HR Professionals Brunch with the theme “Putting the human back into the human resource” was held on May 18, 2023 at the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
Organized by KUSI Consulting, the seminar aimed to address the shift in the workplace caused by the pandemic and emphasize the importance of focusing on the human aspect of human resource management.

Adjabeng, and David Wilson. They shared their expertise and experiences on various topics related to human resource management.
The presentations covered a wide range of subjects, such as Post-pandemic organizational development and strategy, Skills required for today’s HR professionals, Creating a better workplace for the youth, Post-pandemic labor relations, and Mental health in the Ghanaian workspace. These sessions provided insights, strategies, and practical advice for HR professionals to navigate the changing landscape.

The brunch concluded with HR Conversation Huddles, where participants had the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with panelists on specific HR-related topics, including post-pandemic organizational development and strategy, workplace rights of employees, the impact of employee experience on the company’s bottom line, and nurturing relationships in the HR space.

The Human Resource Professionals Conference (HRPB23) showcased an array of insightful sessions, addressing various crucial aspects of the HR field. Here are some of the captivating topics explored during the event:
• Post Pandemic Organizational Development and Strategy; The beginning of the sessions lead us through the discovery of effective strategies for organizations to rebound and thrive in the post-pandemic landscape, focusing on key developmental approaches. This provided an overview of how organizations can bounce back into full working capacity after the pandemic and outlined some developmental strategies that can be adopted.
• Skills required to become a Human Resource Professional Today; The speaker touched on how the individual can gain valuable insights into the essential skills and competencies required to excel as a human resource professional in the modern workplace.
• Developing a Better workplace for Today’s Youth; To explore the unique characteristics of Generation Z, organizations can foster an inclusive and supportive environment tailored to their needs. The speaker spoke on happenings within organizations between employees and their employers and shared some of the labour laws that should be at the fingertip of professionals
• Mental Health in the Ghanaian Workspace; At this point of the session, the speaker helped the attendees to discover the significance of prioritizing employee mental health and well-being, and lead them to participate in a dedicated session that includes a mental health tracking exercise using a specially designed app. This is the link to mental health assessment to help ascertain your mental capacity and wellness.
